Introduction to color theory (primary, secondary, intermediate, monochromatic, warm and cool colors.7B is currently working on Unit 1: Overshot Weavings. During this unit, students will be able to create a drawing that uses balance, emphasis and pattern to create a successful composition. Students will learn six different color schemes (primary, secondary, monochromatic, warm, cool and complimentary). They will be able to successfully weave the compositions using challenging weaving patterns.
Wednesday, October 25: (Day 18) Weaving due by the end of class. Weaving completed, weaving matted, self assessment and reflection questions due.
Monday, October 23: (day 17) Continue weaving
Thursday, October 19: (day 16) Continue weaving.
Tuesday, October 17: (Day 15) Continue weaving.
Friday, October 13: (Day 14) Measure and cut loom as a class. Begin weaving.
Wednesday, October 11: (Day 13) Both sheets due at the end of class. Final drawings, self assessment and reflection questions due.
Monday, October 9: (Day 12) Continue adding color pencil and/or sharpie marker to final paper.
Thursday, October 5: (day 11) Continue adding color pencil and/or sharpie marker to final paper.
Tuesday, October 3: (day 10) Continue adding color pencil and/or sharpie marker to final paper.

Wednesday, September 13: (Day 4) Preliminary drawings of patterns, draw patterns onto final paper. Students will trace entire composition onto second sheet.
Monday, September 11: (Day 3) Students will add patterns to their abstract design and begin tracing onto second sheet by the end of class.
Thursday, September 7: (Day 2) Turn in form with parent signature and have folder with paper .
Students should complete three preliminary drawings and finish drawing on one of two final papers by the end of class.
